Information for Students


What is the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program?

Skilling Queenslanders for Work represents a commitment to increasing workforce participation, driving job growth and strengthening the performance of the Queensland economy by improving work opportunities for disadvantaged Queenslanders.

 

How Does the Program Work?

Tailored, local community-based support is offered to young people, mature-age job seekers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, women re-entering the workforce, Australian Defence Force (ADF) veterans and ADF ex-service members, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

 

Skilling Queenslanders for Work is characterised by:

ï‚· voluntary participation

ï‚· individual pathways

ï‚· integrated mix of assistance

ï‚· strong support for participants.

 

The initiative is supported by a state-wide regional network working closely and forming partnerships with community-based organisations and local employers to determine local skills and entry-level industry and labour needs.

How is Ballistic Training Solutions involved in SQW?

Ballistic Training Solutions is a proud supported of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Program and partners with a range of Community non-profit organisations for the assistance and delivery of entry level industry training in the Conservation and Land Management Sector. 

​

Working with our local community partners under this program we assist eligible students in a workplace/field  experience based program delivery of the 10120 Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management.

​

These programs assist students with entry level and underpinning skills as the first step for a career in the Conservation and Ecosystem Management, Rural Pest and Agricultural Horticultural Sectors.

​

Community Work Skills?

Funds community-based organisations to deliver tailored support and assistance to participants to help them gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications. This includes a mix of career advice, job preparation skills, foundation skills and individual case management.

 

Student / Stakeholder Surveys

At Ballistic Training Solutions we actively seek student, client & industry feedback on our courses and our trainers and assessors. We regularly undertake evaluations of all courses and activities as part of our ongoing commitment to industry development and continuous improvement.

 

These evaluations are completed at the end of a training program or traineeship. The feedback and information learners and clients provide will be used to improve future courses and teaching effectiveness.
